State 21 raises coastal security at Parliament

Our presentation to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Maritime and Ports was a tremendous success 5th December 2016.

We raised the very pressing question ‘How secure is our coastline?’ to Lords and MPs at the Houses of Parliament. Nearly 50 attendees from a variety of organisations and businesses packed the committee room for the hearing.

Our presentation by Tony Birr, business director TMG managing director Malcolm Parrott of our joint venture partners TMG, triggered a very interesting debate. Admiral Lord West, a former First Sea Lord, was among those who spoke of the need for a centralised capability of command and control on the basis of centralised intelligence.

Others in attendance included Lord Wrigglesworth, Jim Fitzpatrick MP, James Gray MP and the Earl of Cork and Orrery. The State 21 delegation  included Richard rowland & Tony Birr plus  Les Chapman, Malcolm Parrott and Joanna Parrott from TMG.
