Devestation at Holyhead Marina

"Preparing for the unexpected." Is the title of Tony's presentation to Harbour Master training courses, (the next being on 7th March ) and to British Marine's Marina Managers courses. Can you ever be prepared for something like how Storm Emma has hit Holyhead? These are normally the post hurricane scenes from storms around the world, not storm damage in the UK. Or can we expect more scenes like this in the UK? Can our harbour masters and marina mangers ever be prepared for this? In a few months time I certainly will be interested reading about lessons learnt if there are any? Now is not the right time for reports. Best wishes go to those who have lost their pride and joy or are having to deal with this destruction of property whether it is commercial or personal in one of our ports and marinas.
