State 21 delivers Emergency & Security Exercise to staff at Port of Tyne

State 21 were delighted to assist the Port of Tyne in conducting a combined emergency and security exercise on the 29th September.  The successful exercise was the culmination of detailed preparation by all parties and was observed by representatives from the Department for Transport.

Steven Clapperton, Port of Tyne Harbour Master said ‘The major incident exercise followed a review and restructure of our emergency response arrangements, bringing our security, land and marine responses into a single protocol. Regular testing of our plans helps us to build resilience, ensuring that we continue to provide a safe environment for our employees, tenants and visitors. State 21’s assistance in this was invaluable as their expertise in emergency planning and response ensured all possible scenarios were tested. ’

Richard Rowland, Managing Director of State 21 Ltd said ‘We were delighted to work with such a forward thinking Port and to enable the Port to enhance their preparedness for emergencies and security threats. It has been a pleasure to work with Steven Clapperton and the wider team and we look forward to working with Port of Tyne in the future’.
