Port Security Major Incident Exercise Port Of Blyth

State 21 were delighted to facilitate a security and major incident exercise at the Port of Blyth on the 29th September. The multi-faceted exercise, attended by a key emergency service, security and law enforcement partners further improved Port of Blyth’s readiness to respond to security threats and unexpected events.

Edwin Dick, Port of Blyth Harbour Master said ‘Following the completion of another exercise conducted at the Port of Blyth and facilitated by State 21, the Port’s resilience and preparedness for a major incident has been thoroughly tested with several learning outcomes produced.

We’d like to thank State 21 for designing and delivering another challenging exercise, as well as the emergency services professionals who joined us on the day. Not only does this demonstrate the Port’s close working relationship with emergency services but further strengthens our partnership and ability to effectively deal incidents should they arise.’

Richard Rowland, Director of State 21 said ‘We are once again delighted to support Port of Blyth in testing their plans and strengthening their security and emergency response. It is a pleasure to be involved with such a forward thinking and fast developing Port.’
