Port of Blyth Major Incident Exercise

State 21 were pleased to facilitate a security and major incident exercise at the Port of Blyth. The multi-faceted exercise, conducted on the 18th October 2023 was attended by key emergency services and wider partners and tested Port of Blyth’s readiness to respond to a range of scenarios.

Edwin Dick, Port of Blyth Harbour Master said ‘Edwin Dick, Port of Blyth Harbour Master said’ It was a great to have State 21 back again this year to facilitate our recent Multi-Agency Major Security/ Emergency Exercise. Working with State 21 over the last six years have helped strengthen and develop the Ports emergency plans ensuring a robust response to any situation we may face’.   

Richard Rowland, Director of State 21 said ‘Building upon training conducted earlier in the year, State 21 were delighted to continue to work with Port of Blyth in the testing of major incident plans. It is always a pleasure to work with such an open and forward thinking Port.’
